You would be the sole owner of the horse and be registered as such with Weatherbys. You would own the horse outright, have regular direct contact with your trainer, and have final say in the decisions made regarding your horse. All costs and profits would be yours alone.

For organisations wishing to own a horse under the name of a company or business. The horse would be in the sole ownership of the company and the company’s shareholders. It is an effective way to promote your business, either by naming your horse after your company and using it in an advertising campaign, or simply to entertain clients at the racecourse when your horse runs.

For two or more registered owners that wish to own a horse together. Partnerships often comprise family members or friends and allow owners to share in the responsibilities, and spread the cost of racehorse ownership.

A group of people who collectively own a horse, but who do not need to be individually registered as sole owners in their own right.

The ownership is set up and managed by a Syndicator, who is registered with Weatherbys.

The Syndicator is responsible for the operation of the syndicate and has day-to-day contact with the trainer on the syndicate’s behalf.

We already have some established Racing Syndicates associated with the yard, who usually have shares available, which would allow you to join an existing syndicate, or we can help you put together your own syndicate.

A group of people coming together to experience the thrill of racehorse ownership.

The Club Manager is responsible for day to day operation of the racing club, but unlike in a syndicate, members of a racing club do not own the racehorses.

Instead members pay a subscription in order to enjoy some of the benefits of racehorse ownership, which may include a share of any prize money won.
